Subject: Travel Advisory – State Wrestling at CHI Health Center Omaha
Dear State Wrestling Families, Athletes and Fans,
We are excited to welcome you to CHI Health Center Omaha for the State Wrestling Championships.
As you prepare for your trip, please be aware that ongoing construction in downtown Omaha is currently
impacting traffic patterns near the arena. Several streets within a few blocks of the building are temporarily
closed or rerouted, which will cause delays — especially during peak arrival and departure times.
To help ensure a smooth experience, please keep the following in mind:
Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes earlier than usual.
Expect heavier traffic as you approach downtown.
Follow your GPS, but also watch carefully for posted detour and directional signage.
Allow extra time for parking and walking to the arena.
Downtown Omaha remains fully accessible, and parking is available; however, traffic flow near the venue may
look different than in previous years. The most important step you can take is simply allowing extra time in your
schedule.
For a list of current street closures and traffic impacts near the arena, please visit the building’s traffic alert
webpage at https://chihealthcenteromaha.com/traffic-alert-february-2026/ before departing for Omaha. But
please be aware that temporary traffic conditions may change on short notice.
Arriving early will help ensure you don’t miss any of the event and will make your visit more enjoyable.
CHAMPIONSHIP TICKETS
There are still tickets available for all sessions (boys and girls). Please tell your parents and fans that they can avoid all fees and purchase a ticket at the box office the day of the event. Any ticket advertised online for a face value of more than $10 is a third-party vendor that has purchased a ticket and is reselling it.
Boy’s sessions 5 & 6 tickets will only be available at the box office the day of the session.
On Friday, the Student Council gave a Valentine’s treat to every student and hosted a Valentine’s Day building competition. Congratulations to Mrs. Biltoft’s Prime Time, who won the event and earned a free bubbler!

The Sandy Creek team competed against 21 teams and earned an impressive 5th-place finish. Charlie Shaw also had a standout performance, placing 8th out of 162 competitors and qualifying for the state competition. Charlie will represent Sandy Creek at the state meet in Lincoln on Saturday, March 21. Congratulations on a great showing—we are proud of all our competitors!
