Miss Craw’s kindergarten class is learning about numbers with exercise in the classroom. Who says that math has to be sitting in your chair the whole time? It’s the perfect way to keep the kids focused.
They love sharing their mornings together getting their wiggles out. Just a room full of happy faces, and a whole lot of joyful learning. Learning vibes definitely arrived early in their classroom.

The NSAA has announced the Believers and Achievers Award winners for this year. Congratulations to our Sandy Creek local nominees Keaton Corman, Morgan Petr, Christian Shaw, and Josh Spray.
Christian Shaw has been chosen as one of the 48 finalists at the state level for one of 8 awards announced in April.
It's new toothbrush day in preschool.
Students each chose a new color of toothbrush.
The teachers help students chart the number of each color and then compare how many of each color they chose. Students then review how to read and write the numbers and colors associated with the tooth brush choices. Our preschool staff constantly incorporate reading and math skills into our daily experiences .

The SNC Volleyball Tournament begins a week from today on Monday 10/12. The Cougars will travel to Milford to take on H & H at 5:00. The winner advances to immediately play Superior at 6:00. A reminder no passes, including SNC passes accepted at SNC Tournament games.

Sandy Creek Schools announces that the Amherst at Sandy Creek football game scheduled for Friday, October 2, has been moved to Grand Island Senior High School, with kickoff scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
Due to the recent heavy rainfall, field conditions at Sandy Creek have deteriorated to an unsafe level for competition. After evaluating the current conditions, it has been determined that the field cannot be adequately prepared to provide a safe playing surface for the game.
The safety of our student-athletes, coaches, officials, and everyone involved in the event remains our top priority. Relocating the game will allow the teams to compete on a suitable playing surface while minimizing the risk of injury associated with the current field conditions.
We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of Amherst Schools, Grand Island Senior High School, our student-athletes, families, and fans as we make this necessary adjustment.

Due to the weather and course conditions Gothenburg has cancelled the Cross Country Meet tomorrow.
After a crazy start to the day with a flat tire on the way to Young Women's Quiz Bowl in Seward, both Sandy Creek teams had a great day. Team A placed 2nd and Team B 3rd. Great job girls!
A special thanks to our senior leaders, Cailee and Morgan, for all of their help changing the tire in less than ideal conditions.
