It's a perfect time for students to recharge and explore new opportunities.
Kindergarten, first, and second graders had a super fun time designing and building a big, cozy blanket fort! After their amazing creation, they snuggled inside and read a good book. ⛺️
Some staff might have some sore knees from crawling in with them.
First grade is participating in Book Madness for the month of March! Much like March Madness where two teams go against each other, two books go against each other and students pick which one they liked the best and it will move on to the next round. We have had quite a few guest readers from the middle school and high school so far!
Sophomore Connor Calderon decided to bring the zoo to our preschool and elementary students! Giving the little ones some paws-itively adorable hands-on experiences with different animals.
A special shoutout to the amazing Springer/Thompson crew for supplying some of the wild materials! Thanks for helping make this adventure a roaring success! 🦁🐵🐰

On Tuesday, our 2nd-5th graders had a special guest! 🌟 Taryn Hoelting shared her incredible journey of becoming a self-published author during Read Across America Week. 📚✨ Her story inspired our young writers to dream big!

🚨1:30 Dismissal 🚨
With the National Weather Service in Hastings predicting the severe high winds to hit our area possibly this afternoon during our normal dismissal time. Because of this we will have an early dismissal. We will be dismissing today at 1:30 and buses will run accordingly. Tuesday, March 4th. Again, we will be dismissing at 1:30 today with no evening activities for Tuesday, March 4th.
The High School Quiz Bowl team placed 3rd at the Red Cloud Twilight Invitational this evening. During pool play, they beat Doniphan-Trumbull 55-20 and Red Cloud 110-15. After being tied 40-40 after the last toss up question, they lost to Giltner on a sudden death tie breaker. In the 3rd place round, they defeated Lawrence-Nelson 85-60. The final round of the evening was team captains vs. the coaches. Great job Mr. Pernicek and team!
