District Music contest participants: duets earning excellent rating included Karsyn Luckey & Eboney Tripe, Keaton Corman & Athziri Diaz. Tripp Bracco earned an excellent for his solo and Keaton Corman earned a Superior rating for his solo.




It was a big week for the Sandy Creek SkillsUSA Chapter. We took 31 students to the State Competition in Grand Island Nebraska from April 11th through the 13th. Students competed in a wide variety of events including Welding, Welding Sculpture, Related Technical Math, Nurse Assisting, Culinary Arts, Automotive Service Technology, Customer Service, Early Childhood Education, and Photography.
We also had 5 students receive medals!! Brooklyn Miller (not pictured, Cailee League accepted her award) received a bronze medal in Collision Repair Technology, Oliver Brunnland earned a gold medal in CNC Milling, 3-Axis Programmer, and the CSI team of Keaton Corman, Ben Sullivan, and Ella Martin (not pictured) received a gold medal earning a chance to represent Nebraska at the National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia this summer.
In addition, Sandy Creek received an award for the largest growth in membership for any SkillsUSA chapter in the state of Nebraska.
All students learned, worked hard, had fun, and represented Sandy Creek well!








Sandy Creek FBLA on the Middle School side really performed well last Thursday and Friday with Hadley Borer placing in every event (Business Ethics 2nd--Qualified for National FBLA in Orlando, FL, Career Exploration 5th, & Financial Literacy 8th). Hadley Schoneberg placed in two of his three events (Exploring Economics 6th, Exploring Computer Science 7th).
Sandy Creek High School FBLA members completed many tests and Zachery Corman earned an Honorable Mention in Organizational Leadership.
Please congratulate these students when you see them--we took a great group of youngsters who will be excellent business leaders!

Sandy Creek nurse Brenda Searle received the Community Health Service Award today from the South Heartland District Health Department. She received the award due to her exemplary service and commitment to school and community health and for her dedication to protecting and caring for Sandy Creek's students.
