We currently serve about 70; 3, 4, and 5 year old students Monday through Thursday at our Sandy Creek Public School location. We provide transportation for all in-district students. We offer options for full-day and half-day students. Students receive breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack; all served family style.

The Sandy Creek Preschool maintains 5 classrooms, with 4 certified teachers, and 9 para-professionals. The classrooms contain 10-20 students depending on needs and staff. We offer on-site occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech language pathology, and deaf and hard of hearing services to qualifying students.

The Sandy Creek Preschool is a tuition based program. Your tuition goes to supporting the program as a whole. Those funds are spread across the expenses in and around the classroom, but essentially it covers the cost of meals(breakfast, lunch, and snack) for the entire year for all students. Full pay tuition begins at $175 and is scaled down according to income qualifications.

The Sandy Creek Preschool is unique because of our direct partnership with Head Start. This partnership allows us to access additional resources beyond our building for home-based programs. The partnership provides us with three para professional staff members within our building; plus annual financial support through the In-Kind program. We also have access to minibuses for transportation purposes at a reduced cost.

The Sandy Creek Preschool also supports the long-term development of students. Our 3 year old, 4 year old, and 5 year old programs take into consideration the needs of each student. We tailor our days around those learning continuum concepts. Students are given a rest time each day along with opportunities to receive music and PE instruction from certified teachers. We have made every child a priority by offering different class options for all students before entering kindergarten. Preschool uses a play-based curriculum process focusing on social skills and early pre-academic skills.
